If you had to ask us, when hiring a wedding planner it almost feels like you get yourself a fairy godparent like in all those Disney movies. While it is with a sad and deep regret that we admit that we haven't as of yet acquired magical abilities nor own a fully functioning magic wand, we do have a whole lot of love and care towards creating beautiful weddings. Our super power lies in creating a stress free planning process for the couple and also makes sure that the budget is stuck to as effectively as possible.
Many seem to believe that wedding planners only care about making money and insist that they don't really care about making people happy. However, truth of the matter is, wedding planners do this job out of pure passion in seeing couples getting happily married without having to stress too much about all the logistics. Moreover having guests at a wedding implies the need of giving 110% towards making them happy. A happy couple added to a group of excited and satisfied guests makes a job well done. Being greedy and seeking only money will only kill any sort of future work or success!
Others believe that hiring a wedding planner is too expensive and the only way a wedding planner would work with you is if you have a large or unlimited budget. This is most definitely not true. Here at My Wedding Planner we strive to bring to our lovely couple the best deals on the market and will make sure to fit everything within one's budget, as tight as it may be. In fact, we also work with on-the-day wedding planners packages especially for people who either, on the most part, want to plan the wedding on their own or else would just need a little extra help on the day itself.
Another myth that unfortunately seems to scare many couples is the idea that the wedding planner will eventually take over their wedding. However, truth of the matter is, the wedding planner will sit with you and create the wedding vision together with you. Then they will find you the necessary suppliers and vendors that will make your dream wedding a reality and supply you with a choice. Like this you have the final say on how exactly your wedding will look like!
You don’t afford hiring an event planner to take care of the whole lead up to your wedding but you need some extra help on-the-day? Did you know you could still hire yourself a wedding planner on-the-day of your wedding? There are a whole lot of benefits when opting for this and we’re going to tell you exactly what they are!
Firstly, your Maid of Honour and Best Man can actually enjoy the wedding and celebrate it with you rather than having to run around the venue making sure that your wedding goes along as planned.
Having a professional working for you on the day will ensure that things run smoothly both in setting up the venue as well as during the wedding process itself.
An on-the-day wedding planner will secure a one point reference for all. In this manner any problem that arises, people know that they’re the go-to person and you secure that no one comes and stresses you, your bridal party or groom's men more than you already are!
Being professional wedding planners, your chosen on-the-day wedding planner can give you guidelines based on actual experience working in weddings. They know exactly what should be avoided and what should be done.
Finally, hiring an on-the-day wedding planner is very cost effective and they are open to bargain a price that is cheaper than direct quoting. Trust us, this will work out cheaper than you think at the end of the day.

When approached to plan a couple's wedding, My Wedding Planner always gives its primary focus to the couple. The couple is our customer, therefore both our services and packages revolve around their needs.
While My Wedding Planner offers all of you lovely couples some of the most affordable packages on the market, our services don't just stop here.
What many don't know is that we offer a whole lot of add-on services to the packages, in order to make sure all weddings go without any hitches. We know you are now curious as to what kind of services we offer and this blog post will tell you all about that!
Having a wedding in Malta with all your Maltese relatives brings efficient food distribution to the top of your priorities on your wedding day. My Wedding Planner can offer an extra planner on the day who can supervise the kitchen for you! Moreover, an extra planner is also recommended for weddings hosting 400 guests and over.
My Wedding Planner also offers to set-up and dismantle the decor within the venue, provide assistance to the bride while getting ready (during dress up, make-up, etc.), welcome foreign guests both at the airport, as well as at the hotel, provide gift hampers, plan Toastmaster/Emcee services and provide a Wedding Designer or Stylist.
Finally, My Wedding Planner also attempts to offer couples the opportunity to carry out a rehearsal of the civil or church ceremony. When it comes to a church ceremony, the possibility of a rehearsal depends totally on the approval of the church venue and the priest.
The more we participate in wedding fairs, the more we realise how important and beneficial it is both for us as a company as well as for the bride and groom, to be present at such fairs. Here everyone’s able to meet with the people who might end up providing a service at their wedding while seeing some products and what they can add to your special day live, helping you make a more informed decision by the end of it. Moreover, you are bound to get some lovely offers and discounts which have been set specifically for the occasion.
Moreover, wedding fairs constantly prove to be the ideal setting where all wedding service providers starting from photographers, videographers, wedding planners, and caterers just to mention a few, are given a platform through which they can show off their work. Brides and grooms have the luxury to compare different suppliers on the spot and test them out to see which ones will cater more for their specific needs.
Wedding fairs are extremely helpful for all those freshly engaged couples who seem to have no idea where they should start with their planning. However, this is not only limited to those couples who are just starting out their wedding planning. You can visit a wedding fair at any stage in the planning process. You never know, you might come across something that could have slipped your mind or completely not thought about.
Before going to the fair, especially if newly engaged, make sure to have a check-list of things you’d like to look into and book and maybe highlight which exhibitors you’d definitely like to visit.
With a whole lot of freebies, food tasting and fantastic discounts you will most definitely leave the wedding fair with a bargain. See you lovely couples at the Say Yes Wedding Fair.
The more time goes by and the more the summer heat gets underneath our skins, the more the Maltese population slowly slowly becomes attracted to winter weddings. Being blessed with a location on the map were snow is not an issue, one can rest assured that no road will be closed due to being blocked by snow (then there’s rain yes, but unless you’re planning to organise a wedding in the middle of the Msida roundabout, you’re good to go).
One thing that might prove to be a challenge is planning the wedding photoshoot. With a winter full of shorter days you know you need to take those photos as early as possible during the day, and maybe just maybe consider a morning wedding rather than an evening one.
Something to consider when choosing a venue for a winter wedding is the ideal type of setting. When getting hitched in winter, it is not going to be an easy task to find a place that has blooming flowers everywhere. You might want to consider indoor spaces, securing yourself that had a rainy day to occur you and your guests will be sheltered under a roof. Such venues could be one of Malta’s many palazzos, wedding halls and even barns that can provide heating for a cold winters’ day.
Although many might see planning a winter wedding as limiting, you or your wedding planner will be helped tremendously with the limited choices to choose from, reducing yourselves the burden of having long nights of extreme planning and indecisiveness when it comes to wedding dresses, bridesmaid dresses, flower choices and wedding themes.Additionally, a winter wedding will be a breath of fresh air for all those working on a tight budget since during this season, venues, caterers and a multitude of other suppliers offer great discounts, some even up to 50% off the final bill!
Whilst there is no guarantee whatsoever that you will be granted a sunny wedding day, one of the best things about a winter wedding is that it will not get lost amongst the hundreds of summer weddings that are going on. It is less likely that it will clash with another wedding and that your guests would be on holiday. Suppliers, make up artists, and venues would be an easier task to handle and you will find most of them available on your special day.
Whilst it might not be a white wedding in Malta, it can definitely live up to the expectations of the winter wonderland wedding of your dreams.
